Christine Kidder

Christine Zamaria Kidder, age 80, of Erie, passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 11, 2026, surrounded by her family. Her passing was caused by complications from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

Born on December 23, 1945, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas & Genevieve (Okon) Zamaria, Christine was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of McDowell High School, Class of 1963.

For over 30 years, Christine worked as a Production Planner at Ervite Corporation. After retiring from Ervite, she operated the family-owned George Carroll House Bed & Breakfast in downtown Erie for 12 years. She found great joy in reading and gardening, even in tending to the less glamorous task of weeding. She also enjoyed spending time shopping and vacationing.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Patti) Kidder and daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Kidder, both of Erie and two grandsons, Cameron Kidder and Preston Kidder. She is further survived by her former husband, Robert Kidder; her sisters, Carolyn Gehrlein, of Chester, Maryland and Diane Coletta, of Harborcreek, Pennsylvania and her nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with Christine’s wishes all services were private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16502.

She will be deeply missed.
