Charmaine LaRue Perry, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. She was born in Brockway, Pennsylvania on September 20, 1939, daughter of the late Joseph E. and Emma Lou DeVita. Charmaine was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club, Glenwood YMCA and Blessed Sacrament Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband John Andrzejczak, second husband Edward Perry, her sisters, Diane Peelman, Danielle Peyton, her brother Joseph DeVita, daughter Suzanne Hadden (William Hadden II) and her grandson William Hadden III. She is survived by her brother, Jim DeVita of Erie, Pennsylvania, her sons, John Andrzejczak (Cathleen) of Parker, Colorado, and Timothy Andrzejczak (Bonnie) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ted Hadden, Ian Andrzejczak, Cameron Andrzejczak, John Hadden (Lisa), Christine Andrzejczak, Paige Andrzejczak, Victoria Balcita (Rachelle), Allison Andrzejczak (Shawn), Tessa Andrzejczak, Kayla Walker and Johanna Prestel.
Charmaine was sunshine mixed with spice. She brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a mentor to many, active at the Y, running laps around the track. She was a role model of kindness, strength, and a follower of Jesus. She embraced her family with love and had a spirit of adventure.
Friends may call and pay their last respects at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services at West Ridge: 3801 West 26th Street, Erie, PA on Friday, May 29th from 4 pm to 6 pm. All are invited to attend a service at Burton Quinn on May 29th at 6 pm. A private burial with the family will be held on Saturday, May 30th at Trinity Cemetery.
