Charlotte Courtney

Charlotte Kindle Dreyer Courtney, age 81, of Erie, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

She was born in Erie on October 15, 1936, a daughter of the late John and Clara Bunce Kindle.

Charlotte was employed by the Department of Welfare for 27 years.  She was a dedicated volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Soldiers and Sailors Home.  She enjoyed bowling, shopping, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Louis Courtney; sons, John Dreyer, of Erie and Richard Louis Courtney, II and his wife, Barbara; daughters, Jeanene Dreyer Gunter and her husband, John and Jodi Lynne Courtney and Mike, all of Erie; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. 

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W. 10^th St., Erie on Thursday, February 15th at 3 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.  Private burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
