Carolyn Louise Carner, age 84, of Fairview, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 29, 2026, at her residence.
She was born in Uniontown, PA on December 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Edna Keiser Deffenbaugh.
Carolyn graduated from McDowell High School in 1959. She worked as a CNA, Activities Director and Receptionist at Pleasant Ridge Manor for over 40 years. She was a lifelong artist. She actively participated with many community organizations, recently being named an honorary member of the Fairview Garden Club. She cared for and passionately raised her family to love the Lord and encouraged them to explore their talents, whatever they may be. She loved her family with all her heart. She loved to celebrate life and loved to celebrate all of life’s accomplishments with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margory Freeborn.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Clark D. Carner; five children; Cheri Ramirez (Adrian), Dave Carner (Julie), Cristy Miller (Tim), Darren Carner (Michelle), and Dennis Carner (Bethany); twenty grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Feidler; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard on Friday May 8, 2026, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm and on Saturday May 9, 2026, at Edinboro United Methodist Church, 113 High Street, Edinboro from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00pm with pastors Ed Schoeneck and Christopher Preston officiating. Burial to follow at Erie County Memorials Gardens.
