Carol Ruth Zacks

Carol Ruth Zacks was born October 31, 1951, in Erie, PA. She was the only daughter of the late Edward A. Zacks and Ruth Hanauer Zacks. She died May 11, 2024, in North Fort Myers, Florida.

Carol loved nature and was happiest with her horses and dogs or working in her vegetable garden.   She enjoyed plants and had them all over her home. 

Carol is survived by her brother Philip (Cathy); niece Lisa (Kathleen Bennett); nephews, David (Kendra), Jacob (Amanda), and Benjamin. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and many cousins with whom she was close. She is also survived by her close friend and companion, Chuck Lipchik.

A graveside service will be held at Anshe Hesed Cemetery, 624 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16508 on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with Rabbi Robert Morais officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Carol to the Erie Humane Society or the Erie Zoological Society.
