Carol A. Stein

Carol Ann Stein, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Carol later made Erie her home. She was a hardworking and determined woman who, alongside her late husband, Jack M. Stein Sr., co-founded J&C Enterprises, where they built a successful business together.

Carol enjoyed boating, water skiing, arts and crafts, and spending time with her beloved dogs and cats. She will be remembered for her strength, independence, generous spirit, and deep love for her family.

She is survived by her children, Jack Mel Stein Jr., Clint Stein, Angel Stein, and Tyler Stein, and their spouses; her devoted companion of nearly 20 years, Albert Zinz; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Stein Sr.; her parents; her siblings; and her grandsons, Clinton J. Stein and Michael Stein.

Arrangements are under the care of the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's memory to the Erie Animal Network or the Erie Humane Society, honoring her lifelong love and compassion for animals.
