Carol Ann Heider Breitbard fulfilled God’s plan for her life on May 2, 2026.

She was born on October 23, 1945, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to the late Marie Josephine Schulte Heider and Charles Russell Heider. Awaiting Carol with outstretched arms was her husband, Dennis Breitbard, who preceded her in death.

Kittanning Senior High School and Indiana University were her Alma maters. Beginning her formal working career in Retailing – Construction Coordinating throughout New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Married her love, Dennis on October 31, 1970, then opening a remodeling and gift shop business in Kittanning “The Builders Exchange, Inc and the Finishing Touch” until their move to sunny Florida in 1984. Both Dennis and Carol worked with Central Florida Investments, Inc. and David Siegel for many years. After Dennis’ passing on April 1, 2000, she activated her companies Carolco Ltd., Inc. and Bella Luna Enterprises, Inc., successfully establishing herself in the Commercial and Residential Industry.

She loved life with a calm passion, enjoying the beauty and simplicity of nature, her animals and the harmony they created in her home. Her favorite saying, “Character, is what you do when no one is watching” was a keynote in her daily life.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Carol Heider and brother-in-law Eugene Hough.

Carol is survived by her brother, William Heider; sister Sally Hough; nephews/nieces, David (Tracy) Heider, Cassandra (Rick) Scardina, Kirk (Maureen) Hough, Michael (Heather) Hough, Heather (Shannon) Clouse; her “bestie” Patty Gresh and Lucy, her beloved dog.

Memorials can be made to SPCA or your favorite charity in Carol’s memory.

Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, Girard. Internment will be private.
