Carl William Lewis

Carl William Lewis, age 53, of Girard, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Erie on November 5, 1969, a son of Kathleen Morgan Lewis and the late Roger Lewis.

Carl graduated from Riverside Military Academy and went on to serve in the United States Army. He was a correctional officer for the Albion Prison for over 18 years. Carl enjoyed hunting and movies. Above all, his family meant the world to him.

Carl is survived by his wife, Annette Lewis and his children, Ariel Carden and her husband, Patrick; Carl William Lewis Jr and his wife, Leslee; and Allison Cocke. He is further survived by a brother, Christopher Lewis and his wife, Erin; a sister, Danielle Lewis; three grandchildren, Holden, Cecelia and Levi; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services were entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard.
