Candy Sue Dunbar

Candy Sue Dunbar, born September 14, 1960 in Burbank, California to her mother, Patricia Ruby Roach, passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She devoted 25 years to the office at Engineered Plastics, where she was known for her dedication, loyalty, and the steady strength she brought to everyone around her. 

Candy was married for 42 years to her husband, Byron Dunbar. She is preceded in passing by her husband, her five children, her grandchildren, and her great‑grandchildren — a family she loved fiercely and protected without hesitation. 

Candy carried a feisty spirit that everyone who knew her remembers. She spoke her mind, stood her ground, and lived with a fire that made her unforgettable. She was gullible in the sweetest way — her kids could get her going with just about anything — and when they got in trouble, she’d try to yell at the right one but fire off the other three names first, getting more frustrated every time she missed. By the time she finally landed on the right kid, everyone was already laughing, including her. Those moments became legendary in the house, the kind of stories her family will be telling forever. 

Candy leaves behind a legacy built on laughter, loyalty, and love. She taught her family to be strong, to stand up for themselves, and to never lose their sense of humor — even in the hardest moments. Her spirit lives on in every story they tell, every smile she inspired, and every bit of strength she passed down. She will be remembered not just for the life she lived, but for the joy she brought to everyone lucky enough to know her.
