Brian Boyer

Brian Boyer, age 65, died peacefully in his sleep at UPMC Hamot Hospital on Friday, August 25, 2023 after a very short illness. He was born June 18, 1958, the son of the late Raymond and Shirley (Loesch) Boyer. Brian attended St. Andrew grade school and graduated from Tech Memorial High School in 1976.

Brian was employed at Hammermill and retired in 2018 from HERO BX. Brian was a long-time member of the Cascade Club. He had a love of cars and took great pride in his beautiful yard. His plants and flowers brought joy to many. Brian also loved hosting friends at Club Boyer and making sure they were well fed. He was a true nurturer.

In addition to his parents, Brian is preceded in death by his brother Timothy Boyer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and best friend Rosie (Dascanio) Boyer. He is survived by his three daughters, Cassidy Boyer of Denton, TX, Kiley Desanto of Bellingham, WA, and Katyanna Evans of Temple, TX. He is further survived by his siblings, Terry Boyer (Rosa Maria) of Tulum, Mexico, Cindy (Bob) Sonnenberg, Dennis, Chris, and Scott Boyer, all of Erie, PA. Brian is survived by his five grandchildren, Ellis, Max, Josiah, Elijah, Isaiah, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10^th Street, Erie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
