Brenda Hart

Brenda McGrath Hart, age 75, of Erie, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at her residence. 

 She was born on January 6, 1949 in Erie, the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Shearer McGrath.

Brenda graduated from McDowell High School. She was a very talented artist, and her work could be seen through Erie including on the walls of Sarah Reed Retirement Home. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She was active in all her kids’ activities and the Academy Marching Band Parent Group was like a second family to her. 

She was a former member of Luther Memorial Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed old rock and roll. She would save her money and then splurge on concerts all over the country of her favorite bands. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Howard Hart.

Brenda is survived by a son Robert (Lisa) Hart of Pittsburgh; a daughter Tammy Hart of Erie; five grandchildren Ryan, Todd, and Jeff Hart, Jason and Daniel Pearson; and seven great grandchildren Audrina, Gavin, Kolten, Hunter, Hayden Sebastian and Alexander. She is further survived by her brother Allen (Lynn) McGrath. 

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Downtown, 602 W. 10th St. on Friday, January 3rd from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Saturday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m.

 Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
