Bonnie Blare

Bonnie Blare, of Fairview, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital.

She was born in Connellsville, PA on December 31, 1946, a daughter of the late LeRoy and Dorothy Russell.

She graduated from East Huntingdon High School in 1964 and went on to study at Latrobe Nursing School. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the VA Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Girard United Methodist Church and was very involved with the Fairview American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping and watching the birds. She liked fancy clothes and was a sharp dresser. She loved her dogs, Goober and Yada.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Krone.

Bonnie is survived by her son, John Blare of Conneaut, OH; daughter, Jenny Rodenbaugh and her husband Mark of Indiana, and her granddaughter, Cassie Dye.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard on Tuesday July 15, 2025, from 3:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
