Beverly J. Sax

Beverly Jean Sax age 86 of Erie, passed away at St. Mary’s Home of Erie Asbury on November 6, 2025. She was born in Syracuse, NY on November 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Louis Rice and Irene Rice (nee Williams). Beverly attended Central Square High School in Syracuse. She enjoyed traveling, with her husband, casino gaming and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed wintering in Lady Lake, Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jacob H. Sax and siblings: Kathleen Kinney and her husband Hop; Donald Rice and his wife Mary; Charles Rice and his wife Shirley all of Syracuse, NY.

She is survived by her children: Jacqueline Guerin and her husband John of Knoxville TN; Bradly J. Sax and his husband David Luzon of East Amherst, NY; James Sax and his wife Michelle of Waterford, PA; Dorotha Argaez-Sax of Waterford, PA; and Jeannine Thompson and her husband Chad of Erie, PA; two sister: Betty Wing (deceased husband David); and Charlotte Vose (deceased husband Dick); nine grandchildren: Shawn, Jessica, Carly, Justin, Daniel, Grace, Emma, Conner, and Lilly; and five great-grandchildren: Hailey, Owen, Hudson, Chloe, Shawn “SJ”, Eleanor, and Rory; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at St. Mary’s Asbury Chapel, 4855 West Ridge Road, Erie, PA 16506 on November 15th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in Mount of Olives Cemetery.
