Barbara Moon

Barbara Moon, 89, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital.

She was born May 7, 1936, in Lawrence Park, PA, a daughter of the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Streeter) Pronko.

Barbara graduated from McDowell High School. She worked for many years as a pharmacy technician with Eckerd Drugs and CVS, until her retirement. Barb enjoyed being outside, reading, gardening, music, and interior decorating their family home. She never missed a bargain while shopping for clothes.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Sonia Einfeldt.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Paul Moon; two sons, Douglas (Shelley) Moon and Tim (Kathleen) Moon; a daughter, Paula (Douglas) Petroff; grandchildren, Kevin (Gillian) Moon, Timothy (Sue) Moon, Steven Moon, Samantha (Craig) Butler, Rebekah Petroff (Ben Manns), and Alexandra Petroff; a brother, Gregory (Renee) Pronko; as well as three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie on Tuesday, April 28, from 11 AM until the time of service there at 1 PM. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
