Arlene F. Winkler

Arlene F. Winkler, 75, of Erie, Passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital.

She was born on August 12, 1950, the daughter of the late William H. Karash and Eleanor Reis

She worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the housekeeping department for several years and had also worked in the East High School Cafeteria for several years.

She attended Christ United Methodist Church and was a past member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and drives in the country and especially enjoyed her pets and loved her cat, Miss Kitty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter B. Winkler and three in-laws, John Winkler and Paul Winkler and James Winkler and his wife Colleen.

She is survived by a brother, Charles L. Karash, of Erie; two half-sisters, Julie and Jennifer Karash and in-laws, Mary Jane Winkler, Thomas Winkler and his wife Linda and Deanne Russo and her husband Kenneth.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc, West Ridge 3801 W> 26th Street on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens
