Aric Paul Michalczik

Aric Paul Michalczik, age 39, was born on June 3, 1986 and born into eternal life on December 17, 2025. After battling an underlying heart condition, Aric passed peacefully with his family by his side at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Aric was born and raised in Erie, PA, and graduated from McDowell High School in 2004. He excelled in any and every sport he played, but Aric professed baseball was his favorite. He moved to New York and enjoyed many years working at Del Lago Resort and Casino in Waterloo. He came home to care for his mom Sandy when her cancer was progressing. There wasn’t a football game he missed (Go, Tampa Bay Bucs!), a card game he passed up, a prize catch he didn’t try to reel in, or a chance to go on the hunt for a priceless trading card. He enjoyed his time at Mitsubishi Motors where he was affectionately known as Big Daddy Deals.

He is predeceased by his mother Sandra Lee Michalczik in 2021. He is also predeceased by his father Paul Michalczik, grandparents Michael Michalczik, Jeanette Voss Haise, and Richard and Elfrieda Leitz Bly, Uncle Richard Bly, Aunt Karen and Uncle Charles Urraro.

Aric is survived by his brother Sean (Casey) Michalczik; his aunts and uncles Tom (Peg) Bly, Cindy (John) Pacileo, Mike (Barb) Michalczik, Walt (Sue) Michalczik, and Paulette Michalczik; and many cousins also survive.

Friends were not just friends in Aric’s circle; they were extended family – brothers, really. They include Tyson (Erika) Powell, Korey Scott, Thomas (Nicole) Kuna, close friend Alicia, and so many more.

We grieve for Aric and the life he had yet to live. But we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his mom whom he shared such a special bond with, and he is at peace. Aric will never leave us. We will carry him in our hearts forever. The family thanks everyone who traveled to Pittsburgh during these many weeks showing Aric just how much he was loved.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Inc, West Ridge, 3801 West 26 Street, on Tuesday, December 23 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
