Andre Lemoyne

Andre L. Lemoyne, age 89, of Erie, passed away August 30, 2018 at his residence.He was born in Rouen, France on July 25, 1929, son of the late Germaine and Elise (Bouchelet) Lemoyne.He graduated high school in France. After high school he worked in the family meat business. He entered the apprentice program to become a master meat cutter. Later he earned a Bachelors Degree from Gannon University, Master’s Degree in Art from Mercyhurst University and was a teacher at McDowell High School for many years. His education continued into other areas. From a fellow teacher at McDowell, Dan Sacarase, the door was open to Chinese medicine. Dan showed him acupressure and how it helped the body. Andre took classes and clinics in Acupressure, Foot Reflexology and Jin Shin Jitsu. He even went to Berkley and received a degree in Chinese Medicine. This launched his final career. Helping improve people’s lives. In addition to his parents, Andre is preceded in death by his wife Annette Lemoyne.Andre is survived by his son Jacques Lemoyne and his bride to be, Lorraine Sloan and a grandson Kristofer, both of Erie. Family and close friends are invited to attend a service on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Burton West Lake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street at Powell Ave. Inurnment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St, Jude’s Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
