Alfred L. Farley

Alfred L. Farley, 84, of Girard, passed away on Monday August 17, 2026, at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital.

He was born in Waterford, PA on October 12, 1941, the son of the late Robert and Jenny Hess Farley.

Alfred graduated from General McLane High School in 1961 and went on to serve in the United States Army. He worked as a welder at GE Transportation for 27 years until his retirement. He enjoyed going to car shows and cruise-ins and was proud of his 1953 Chevy pickup. He was a member of the Fairview American Legion, the VFW in McKean, and a member of Wise Library United Methodist Church in Fairview.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Kantola Games and his brothers, Jim, Dan and Lee Farley.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen Farley; his son, Brian P. Farley and his wife, Trisha; his daughter, Jill Barry and her husband Thierno; five grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Patrick, Alayna and Colin; three great grandchildren, Isla, Celine and Emmett; his brothers, Charles Farley and his wife Diana, and Gene Farley and his wife Linda; his sisters, JoAnn Turner, Judy Hough and her husband Larry, and Darlene Loll; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard.
