Alan Myers, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and member of the Girard community, left us peacefully at Pleasant Ridge Manor on October 5, 2025, at the age of 73.
He was born on April 25, 1952, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Clay and Mildred (Taylor) Myers.
After graduation from Girard High School, Alan worked at various manufacturing plants including PHB and the former Brook Park Plastics. He loved the outdoors and was often spotted hiking along the scenic Battles "Mountain" Trail or spending time at a local creek. An avid reader, Alan enjoyed his frequent visits to the local library.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Myers.
He leaves behind to cherish him in memory, his loving children, Courtney Myers and Matthew Myers; dear friend, Linda Myers; sister, Linda Higgins (Don); brothers, Gary Myers (Kathy) and Randy Myers and granddaughter, Taylor. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Burton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Main Street East, Girard, on Saturday, October 11, 2025, for a 1:00 p.m. memorial service to celebrate Alan’s life. Burial will be private.
