Alan R. “Al” Clark, 81, of Erie, passed away peacefully at home May, 18th surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Erie, Alan was the son of the late Earl J. Clark and Shirley Elaine Clark.

Alan shared a loving marriage with his wife, Charlotte, since September of 1965. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and lasting memories.

He is survived by his children, Paul Clark and spouse Marian Gogola, Janet Pomper, and James Clark; his grandchildren, Sabian Clark and spouse Kristy Clark, Aja Rangel, Hunter Clark, and Logan Pomper; and his great-granddaughter, Kendra Desko.

Alan spent most of his career as a skilled tool and die maker with Reddog Industries before serving as shop manager with Wolf Industries and later PHB Inc. He was respected for his strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and dedication throughout his career.

Outside of work, Alan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He treasured time spent outdoors and with his family and friends.

In accordance with Alan’s wishes, there are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time. A celebration of Alan’s life will be held at a later date.

The family is very appreciative of the care and assistance provided by UPMC Family Hospice during the last days of Alan’s life.
